Two Locations, One Experience
For the opening show of the 8th Anniversary PUBG Mobile, the iDrone team flew 500 drones from the East Parking Plaza Surabaya. The main audience watched the performance from the celebration location at Grand City Convex, so the visual choreography was designed with a long distance orientation that remained clearly readable.
Show Duration and Sequence
The total opening flight lasts around 8-9 minutes from take off to landing. A series of formations were built to open the night with the PUBG Mobile brand narrative, from visual identity, iconic characters, to anniversary celebration callouts.
Why Opening 500 Drones is Important
This opening is not just a pre-show. The 500-drone formation served as the foundation of momentum for a second, much larger show: MURI's record attempt with 1,500 drones on the same night.
