Canggu Beach, New Year's Eve
There is no more dramatic setting for a drone show than a beach on New Year's Eve. Ocean breezes, thousands of guests, a global countdown and clear Balinese skies — FINNS Beach Club Canggu is the dream venue to start 2025.
FINNS is known as one of the most exclusive beach clubs in Bali. For NYE 2025, they wanted something completely different from previous years. The choice of drone show was one of the highlights of the evening program which lasted 8 hours.
Beach Challenge: Sea Breeze and Sand
Drone shows on beaches are beautiful but full of technical challenges. The nighttime sea breeze in Canggu can be quite strong — especially after midnight when the sea breeze changes. Our operational team arrived at the venue at 14.00 to carry out weather monitoring for 6 hours before the show.
Sand is also a potential enemy — drone motors that come into contact with sand can cause damage. All preparation and staging is carried out on the hardfloor area (FINNS wooden deck), not directly on the sand. The launch zone is chosen in an area with the least amount of sand drift.

Show is designed to sync with the countdown to midnight. Starting from H-5 minutes with a spiral formation that gets tighter, the drones form the numbers 10, 9, 8... until '2025' which explodes into a digital fireworks pattern in the first seconds of the new year.
The reactions of thousands of guests watching — the photos and videos they uploaded to Instagram and TikTok that night — generated organic awareness for FINNS that conventional advertising couldn't buy. Some videos were even reposted by international travel accounts with millions of followers.
