Starting 8 Weeks Before the Show
Eight weeks before DWP 2024, the iDRONE team received a brief: '300 drones, in sync with DJ sets, must be iconic.' The biggest challenge: the formation had to change according to the tempo of the music in real-time.
Weeks 1–3: Choreography & Storyboard
Our animators designed 47 different formations — from Indonesian globes to beat-driven musical waves. Each transition is set to per-frame precision.
3D Simulation
The entire show was tested in 3D simulation. We detected 2 potential collisions between drones and fixed them before D-day.
Evening H: Show
22.47 — countdown begins. 300 drones take off at the same time. The show opened with an Indonesian globe, followed by the words 'FROM INDONESIA TO THE WORLD'. Thousands of spectators burst into applause.
