Drone Show Rental in Jakarta 2026: Top Venues, Cost Estimates, and Booking Guide

By iDrone Editorial Team

Planning a drone show in Jakarta? Full guide to proven safe venues, cost estimates by drone count, booking timeline, and the technical details you need to understand before signing a contract.

Sewa Drone Show Jakarta 2026: Lokasi Populer, Estimasi Biaya, dan Panduan Booking

Jakarta is Indonesia's event capital. Every week brings new brand launches, gala dinners, music festivals, and corporate gatherings — all competing to stand out. As competition intensifies, more organizers are searching for the ultimate format: a drone show. The question is no longer 'do we need a drone show?' but rather 'where, how much, and how do we book it?'

This guide answers each of those questions based on iDrone's direct experience flying hundreds of drones across Jakarta — from SCBD and Ancol to Kemayoran — including the technical details that most vendors don't talk about.

Top Drone Show Venues in Jakarta

Jakarta has a unique profile: dense, surrounded by three controlled airspace zones (Halim, Soekarno-Hatta, Pondok Cabe), and packed with high-rises. Not every venue is suitable. Below are the locations that have proven safe and feasible:

1. Allianz Eco Park, Ancol

A favorite outdoor venue for 200–500 drone shows. Wide field, clean sightline from the main stage, and the seaside backdrop adds a clean horizon. Ideal for automotive launches, brand activations, and large festivals.

2. SCBD & Senayan

Best for premium gala dinners and corporate events. Tighter airspace because of surrounding buildings, so we typically fly farther from the audience at controlled altitudes. Recommended scale: 100–300 drones.

3. JIExpo Kemayoran

Jakarta's largest exhibition venue. Its parking grounds can host shows with 5,000+ attendees. We've executed 300–500 drone shows here.

4. Jakarta International Stadium (JIS)

Perfect for mass events and opening ceremonies. The open layout gives flexibility for more ambitious formations.

5. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII)

An iconic cultural-heritage venue. Suitable for national-themed celebrations and corporate events seeking a distinctly Indonesian narrative. iDrone flew the 50th-anniversary celebration here.

6. Premium Hotels (Shangri-La, Mulia, Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont)

Many premium gala dinners launch drone shows from the hotel garden or grounds. Scale is typically 100–200 drones due to limited airspace and proximity to controlled zones.

Drone Show Cost Estimates in Jakarta

Pricing in Jakarta depends on drone count, show duration, animation complexity (more complex = longer programming), permitting, and logistics. A rough guide:

  • 100 drones — entry tier for intimate weddings, small corporate, and brand activations
  • 200–300 drones — sweet spot for corporate gala dinners, music festivals, grand openings
  • 500 drones — premium tier for national product launches and large-scale events
  • 1,000+ drones — record-breaking territory; longer lead time and specialized venues required

For a specific estimate based on your concept, please consult with our team — there are too many on-the-ground variables to pin a single figure in an article.

Technical Considerations Often Overlooked in Jakarta

Controlled Airspace

Jakarta is surrounded by three main airports: Soekarno-Hatta, Halim, and Pondok Cabe. Most of Jakarta falls within Controlled Traffic Region (CTR). That means every drone show requires coordination with AirNav Indonesia and an issued NOTAM (Notice to Airmen).

Aviation Safety Operation Zone (KKOP)

Areas near airports fall under KKOP, which restricts flight altitudes. As a responsible vendor, iDrone will decline any location that isn't regulation-feasible — even after pricing has been agreed.

Jakarta's Unpredictable Weather

Jakarta's rainy season (October–April) adds risk. Our drone shows have maximum operational wind limits and cannot fly in heavy rain or lightning. Every iDrone contract includes explicit weather protocols, including reschedule scenarios.

Realistic Booking Timeline

  • Initial consultation & quotation: 1–3 working days after brief received
  • Concept confirmation & contract: ideally 2–4 weeks before event
  • Permits & NOTAM processing: minimum 30 days before show
  • Animation programming & test flight: 2–6 weeks depending on complexity
  • On-site setup: D-1 for 100–300 drone shows, D-2 for larger scale

Last-minute bookings (under 30 days) are sometimes feasible for 100–200 drone shows with relatively simple concepts, but difficult for larger shows requiring complex permits and programming.
